The Art that Leads to the Heights

It is art that will save the world, a conscious art, enlightened by the truths of initiatory science. But how can we know what a true artist is? A true artist achieves the synthesis of philosophy, science, and religion. For to be an artist is to concretize on the physical plane what the intellect conceives as just and true, and what the heart feels as good, so that the higher world, the world of the spirit, may descend to incarnate in matter. The artist, in the initiatory sense of the term, is one who has been able to bring order and reason to their thoughts and introduce love and peace into their heart. Everything they then create is harmonious and full of meaning.

Art must not be confined solely to works of art; it must also be present in daily existence, and the true artist is one who is capable of taking themselves as the material of their creation. All the methods of spiritual life are at our disposal to help and inspire us in this task. It is within ourselves first that we must create poetry and music, harmonious forms and movements, and shimmering colors, so that all beings around us, in the visible and invisible worlds, may benefit from them.
